Lindsey - I wish I had better news for you. You can create more than one Email address on Gmail, etc, but perhaps you don't really want more. I will update this thread if I learn of any changes.

Thank you for the response. I already have a different account, but am out of e-mail addresses to create more accounts. Please let me know if you find that Facebook has changed this policy. Thanks, again.

Hi Lindsey, you've touched on a very controversial issue. All the pages you subscribe to are publicly available and there is no way currently to block this. It does not appear that group membership is public, but there is not much information on them.

The easiest work around to your issue is to create a second account and load it in a different web browser (i.e. if you use Internet Explorer install Firefox and use that for the second profile) so you can be concurrently logged in to both your main profile and your secondary one. A lot of people who play games like Mafia Wars and Farmville do this to avoid flooding their friends with messages. This is unfortunately the best work around. Facebook has taken a lot of heat for making this information public.

Lindsey I think I can help with your question but I need to clarify part of it. When you say hide Facebook fan pages and groups from your profile what do you mean exactly? Do you mean so that people cannot see that you are a member/fan or something else?

How do you "hide" Facebook fan pages and groups from your profile, but still be a fan and receive updates?
