This Tech Tip explains how to quickly remove an entire tool operation in CIMCO Edit without manually counting or selecting lines.
Manually deleting a tool operation from an NC program means finding the right start line, finding the right end line, making sure you are not cutting into the operation before or after it, and hoping you got the boundaries right. There is a lot of room for error.
Mark/Delete Range in the NC Functions / Insert-Remove menu defines the boundary by NC content instead of line numbers. Set it to run from one tool change to the next and it captures exactly the blocks that belong to that operation — nothing more, nothing less. You can also define the range by feedrate value if that fits your program structure better.
Apply it to a selection or let it run across the entire program. Either way, the right blocks go and the rest stays.
