There are few things in the world of business more valuable than feedback from a customer. Whether it is good or bad, customer feedback tells you what you’re doing right, what you’re doing wrong and what you can ultimately do to improve. Good or bad, they represent opportunity and act as strong motivators to run a quality business that cares what its customers need. What we all hope for of course, is to receive feedback that your hard work and philosophy about service has left a good impression and that the products you’re offering are great. Today we are grateful for some feedback from John Kuran of DPW in Portland, Oregon, a recent CIMCO Edit Professional licensee:
We’ve been using CNC machines since 1982. We were using an outdated CNC editing program that was very problematic for us. The show stopper was this editor would not even open some of our recent extremely long programs and would hang the computer in trying to do so. While working with a CNC consultant on a new 5 axis implementation, I asked him what he would recommend for a new CNC editor. He responded immediately CIMCO Edit 7. He said he believed it to be the finest editor on the market. So I went to the CIMCO website and downloaded and installed five trial copies of the product for our CNC machinists. The first test was to open a program that previously hung our computer. Not only are opening the files not an issue, the performance of doing so is awesome! Our machinists had found several other useful features that we didn’t have before. Things like machine tool travel limits by individual tool. This is a great feature. This tool alone can save us significant time by not having to move a setup on a machine or reprogram or edit a program because of a tiny over travel in a particular axis if the part isn’t located precisely on the machine table.
After evaluating the product briefly, we knew that we could solve many serious deficiencies with our editor with the CIMCO Edit 7 software. When it came to buying the product we were directed to Managed Solutions and Joe Hackman by our consultant. He mentioned that he was very pleased in dealing with Joe. Well, we couldn’t have been more pleased in the recommendation! Joe was extremely easy to work with, and was very helpful in presenting several different licensing options for us to consider. He made the decision easy. I look forward to a new long term business partner.
